For years, human rights defenders have denounced the mistreatment, torture and murder of Palestinians at this center.
On Wednesday, Israeli Channel 12 broadcast security camera footage showing a group of Israeli reservist soldiers harassing some 30 Palestinian prisoners who were blindfolded on the floor.

One of the prisoners is led into a corner where he is sexually assaulted. This happened in the Sed Teiman concentration camp, euphemistically called a “prison.”
“It is clear that they know about the surveillance cameras, and try to hide their act with shields… The video contains a documentation to the felony of the reservists: the act of sodomy in these circumstances,” the Turkish agency Anadolu reported.
A few hours later, the Palestinian prisoner, who was left bleeding from the assault, was taken to a hospital.
“His condition was described as ‘complex’… The injury was caused by the insertion of an object,” the Israeli Channel 12 said, quoting a medical report.
The gang rape of the Palestinian prisoner occurred on July 29 and led to the arrest of nine Zionist soldiers. So far, however, they have not been charged with any crime as “the Israeli military prosecution claims it is still investigating the incident,” Anadolu reported.
For years, human rights defenders have denounced the mistreatment, torture and murder of Palestinians at the Sde Teiman prison. Between 2008 and 2014, hundreds of Palestinians were imprisoned in the Zionist facility. At least 36 Palestinians have died there as of Oct. 7, 2023.
“Recently released detainees have said they were subjected to numerous forms of torture and inhumane treatment, including: forced stripping, prolonged and severe binding and blindfolding, laceration of body parts, electrocution, systematic starvation; deprivation of sleep, bathing and medical care, dog attacks, exposure to extreme cold, and surgical operations without anesthesia,” Anadolu recalled.
